One down, one to go!

Here's a picture of sock number one for the Sockapaloooza sock exchange:

It looks a little wonky in the photo, but trust me it's AAA ok! I really like how the sock turned out. I love the colors and the calf shaping makes for a great fit. It took a lot less yarn that I thought, so I will have some left over to make my own shorter pair.

Unfortunately knitting has taken a back seat to the other activities in my life. I have ONE more week left in one of my courses... and I'm counting down the hours! I'm not taking any courses over the summer, but plan on writing the GMAT and the CAPM - a project management certification. My plan is to apply to a Master's of Health Administration program for Sept 2007. One graduate degree apparently isn't enough!

I've been incredibly delinquent in bragging about my latest FAB pressie from my SP. Check it out:

I received:

  • a fantastic Green & Black's Organic Espresso flavored chocolate bar. (yes, that's and empty wrapper in the photo and I highly recommend trying this chocolate!)
  • 2 balls of yummy soft RY Cashsoft Aran
  • some funky magnets
  • tasty mad gabs lip lube in spearmint
  • a totally cute card.
Thanks once again SP!

There hasn't been very much knitting going on here. I've knit a couple more rows of the Baby's Denim Drawstring Pants from LMKG. I really have to hurry up - they baby arrived two weeks early!

Awwwwwww....

There's nothing like a super-cute baby wearing a handknit to brighten your day!

Unfortunately I have no knitting updates to report!

It's been busy! I've suddenly realized how far behind I am in my courses - one in particular - the one that doesn't have hard deadlines! Patrick left on Wednesday for 10 days, so I have lots of time to dedicate to reading and catching up! Although not a lot of time to knit his secret birthday socks. Oh well... they can always be secret Easter socks!

No new pictures either - my camera went with Patrick to Winnipeg, Regina and Calgary. Have you noticed that my camera travels a heck of a lot more often than I do?? Since December it has been to several European countries, Cuba and now a trip to western Canada. Geeeesh!

PS. A friend took me to see I Am My Own Wife on Friday. It was FAB! The actor play something like 32 different characters. Fascinating story too.
